The Saigontourist Golf Tournament 2019, which took place in HCMC on July 20, raised VND600 million (nearly US$26,000) to fund 500 scholarships for underprivileged students.

The scholarship recipients come from Cang Long District of Tra Vinh Province, Thanh Phu District of Ben Tre Province, Can Giuoc District of Long An Province, and Can Gio District of HCMC.

The event was held by Saigontourist Holding Company at the Vietnam Golf & Country Club, drawing 160 golfers who were diplomats, businessmen and partners from across the country.

The tournament was sponsored by IPPG, TTC Hospitality, Vegas Club, International Tourist Club, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, BreadTalk, TBS Group, ECCO, Minh Long I, Bong Sen Corporation, Saigontourist’s affiliates and others.

The tournament offered numerous attractive prizes, including two Hole-In-One prizes of Mercedes-Benz C200, 17 awards from Malaysia sponsored by Palm Gold, Saigontourist’s hotel room, hospitality service, food and tour vouchers, and Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific’s air tickets.

This is part of activities that Saigontourist Holding Company is carrying out to celebrate its 44th birthday (August 1, 1975 – August 1, 2019).

In addition to the golf tournament, the company has put the Saigon – Ba Be Resort into operation, opened Saigontourist offices in Ben Tre and Nghe An provinces, presented scholarships to staff’s children, and rolled out a host of promotions that are available until September 30, 2019.
