Saigontourist: 45 Years of Growth

During four and a half decades of establishment and development, the group has notched up brilliant success along with the development of the tourism industry in HCMC in particular and Vietnam in general, consolidating its position as the country’s leading tourism group. Saigontourist Group is slated to receive ASEAN Awards 2020 on its upcoming birthday.

The story of Saigontourist Group’s development is an example of a great journey to a popular brand of Vietnam’s key city after the reunification day. After 45 years, Saigontourist Group has made great efforts and changes to become one of leading tourism firms.

Saigontourist has hosted big tourism and cultural events in Vietnam. Highlighting the slogan “Enjoy Vietnamese Identity”, Saigontourist also plays a role of a tourism ambassador. The group is poised to become a leading tourism brand in Southeast Asia and the world.

Pham Huy Binh, chairman of Saigontourist Group, said the 45-year journey is marked with challenges, chievements and values given to the community and workers, which helps affirm the group’s vision, belief and special connection between managers and employees. 

Due to its contributions to the tourism development, Saigontourist Group and its member units have won valuable prizes from the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association, the HCMC government and local and international organizations, such as ASEAN Awards, Labor Medal, Independence Medal, Certificate of Merit from Prime Minister, etc.
