Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2019 takes place on October 5 and 6 in Trung Khanh District in the mountainous province of Cao Bang. The opening ceremony is at 8 p.m. on October 5.

The festival includes a wide range of events and activities. From 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 5, a light show is held at the foot of the waterfall. On October 6, a ceremony is scheduled to pray for peace and good weatherat Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda in the morning. In addition, there are an exhibition introducing local specialties, a photo exhibition, folk games, and traditional music shows during the festival.

The festival aims to promote the natural beauty, people and unique local culture as well as the national landscape of Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang to tourists at home and abroad in an effort to contribute tothe local socio economic development and attract more investors. 

Saigon-Ban Gioc Resort managed by Saigontourist Holding Company also attends the festival.

Its temperature ranges from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius in summer and falls to 16 or 17 degrees Celsius in winter.

When night falls, a popular activity for tourists is dancing and singing together around a fire at the waterfall and to have an exchange with Tay and Nung ethnic minority people there.
