So far in 2004, Saigontourist Holding Company has welcomed 290,838 foreign tourists - an increase of 38.4% compared to the same period in 2003 - and very importantly, has earned nearly VND1.7 billion in revenue. Bearing this in mind, Saigontourist is jointly undertaking the construction of high-end resorts in many provinces in the south, such as Quang Binh, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong and Ba Ria Vung Tau. At the same time, Saigontourist is gradually shifting its role from that of "Head Office" to "Mother Company and subsidiaries". Whatever, together they should be able to forge ahead in trade growth for the second half of 2004.
