Sports, culture, and tourism will top the list at a sea festival in Vietnam’s central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, site of one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
The Nha Trang Sea Festival, starting Apr. 2, is to feature beach volleyball and other sea sports, a kite flying contest, cooking contest, an exhibition of paintings, a French film screening, and a sculpture camp.
This year's Nha Trang Sea Festival would be the most monumental so far, according to Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Chairwoman of Khanh Hoa People's Committee and Director of Organization Board for 2005 Cultural and Tourism Festivals.
In 2003, Nha Trang Bay was selected as one of the world's most beautiful bays by the World Club. The new Nha Trang Bay Club on Hon Chong will host the 1st Asian summit on the theme of sustainable tourism development and marine conservation.
So far, 72 delegates from 18 out of the world's 29 most beautiful bays have registered to attend the summit, said Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People's Committee Le Xuan Than.
